After a career in London as equity analyst at Morgan Stanley, Xavier joined the Belgian securities house and asset manager Petercam in 1998 to set up its Buy-Side research division.

From 2005 to 2015, he held several management positions in the Petercam Group, including as General Manager of its private bank unit in Geneva and subsequently as Group CEO. He co-led the integration of the Petercam merger with Bank Degroof to become Deputy CEO and Member of the Executive Committee of the Bank Degroof Petercam until his departure at the end of 2017. He played a key role in the establishment of the partnership between Quadia and Degroof Petercam.

Xavier now chairs the Degroof Petercam Foundation and sits at the boards of the Pulse Foundation, the Gingo Foundation as well as the Queen Paola Foundation. Besides his non-profit commitments, Xavier mentors fast growing companies active in the consumer sector.
